Well, it's been a loooooooong time since my last update, so I'll spare the small details and skip to the big changes. Last June, my wife gave birth to our first child, Gwendolyn. She's beautiful and amazing, and I really love being a dad. Our new family situation means that I've gone back to substitute teaching, which is a new adventure every day. I have been out of practice for a while, art-wise, but having a daughter has really taught me to order my priorities. I know that if I let myself get too rusty, any hope I have of making any sort of trade in the art industry will vanish. So, I took a summer job that had a lot of free time in it and got back into the habit of sketching every day. I also read up to book 4 of the Game of Thrones series (I know it's called Fire and Ice or something, but GoT is easier to write and remember. And it makes more sense). The first couple of sketches that I will post in the next few weeks will be of characters from that series. I know that there's an HBO adaptation, but I wanted to jump-start my imagination by drawing the characters as I imagined them before letting TV do the imagining for me.
Hopefully, I'll be posting more work in the next few weeks, it all depends on how much access I have to a scanner.
